Britt Mason is a birth and postpartum doula, educator, and postpartum chef with years of experience walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the tender first months of parenthood.

My Doula Practice is shaped by

  • Science-Inspired Observation – guiding parents to notice and respond to their newborn’s unique cues, rhythms, and capacities.

  • Sacred Postpartum Traditions – drawing from intercultural practices that prioritize rest, nourishment, and protection in the early weeks.

  • Parental Intuition – empowering both mothers and fathers to trust their instincts and step into their roles as equal pillars of the family.

  • Community & Local Resources – connecting families in South Jersey and Philadelphia to evidence-based education and professional networks like Blossoming Bellies.

  • Nourishment & Household Flow – supporting recovery and family resilience through postpartum cooking, emotional grounding, and creating a calm, steady home environment.

My work is rooted in continuous education, intercultural postpartum traditions, and newborn observation. I am also a proud professional member of Blossoming Bellies Wholistic Birth Services, a leading birthworker resource here in South Jersey and Philadelphia.

This means every family I serve benefits not only from my personal experience but also from the collective knowledge and resources of the South Jersey–Philadelphia birth community.

I have supported families across cultures and circumstances—first-time parents, NICU graduates, high-risk recoveries, and seasoned parents adjusting to new family dynamics.

Through all of this work, I’ve seen a truth emerge: postpartum is not a medical event to recover from, but a sacred threshold to move through.

Birth & Postpartum

Mind Body Baby

My approach to supporting families is rooted in the philosophy of Mind, Body, & Baby, emphasizing the interconnectedness of these aspects throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This holistic approach aligns with my belief in the importance of continuity of care, which has been shown to aid in faster postpartum healing and a smoother transition to parenthood.

This is a powerful season of change — layered, emotional, and deeply personal. I’ll guide you through it with clarity, calm, and care, helping you connect to your own wisdom as you prepare for birth and settle into life with your baby.

As your doula, I don’t replace your partner — I support them too. I help create space for connection, offer guidance when things feel intense, and keep the energy grounded so everyone can stay present and focused. Together, we become a strong team, fully aligned to support you.

We’ll build a birth plan that feels right for your family and a postpartum experience rooted in nourishment, ease, and community. Once you feel this kind of support, you’ll wonder how anyone does it without it.

Britt understands the profound identity shift that comes with transitioning from a professional life to parenthood.

After years of investing in careers and building identities, new parents can experience a core-shaking transformation during the postpartum period. This transition affects both mothers and fathers, bringing unique challenges and stress.

To support this journey, Britt offers virtual Zoom sessions providing guidance, expertise, and a supportive sounding board. These sessions are designed to help new parents navigate the identity shift, reduce stress, and enhance the postpartum experience. Offered for individuals or couples, Britt recommends three sessions to align with the first three months of your baby's milestones and challenges.

“Birth is not only about making babies, but about making mothers. Strong mothers, confident mothers, mothers who trust themselves and know they can do hard things." - Barbara Katz Rothman
